More about this scene
The buses are bedecked in Accrington Corporation's distinctive dark blue and red livery. A narrow black line around the windows was added to commemorate the losses suffered by the Accrington Pals in the First World War. The 'Gordon' tram shelter have previously stood on Peel Street, and was demolished in 1953. After many delays the new bus station was constructed in 1963.
