This churchyard stands at the top of Thundersley Church Road, well removed from the bustle of the town below. The church of St Peter, standing further up the hill, has a nave and aisles dating from the early 13th century.The town name is believed to have come from the pagan worship of Thunor.

I would like to share information with anybody who has, or wants, information about Badger Hall in Thundersley. I have historical information on the family that owned the estate after 1913. I would like to know who owned it before 1913.
In the years leading up to World War 2, I recall visiting my Father's parents who lived in what I remember was a rather splendid house named Willowbrook, on the Rayleigh Road.

Does anyone remember the annual parties for Dr. Barnabas' collectors? There was a party at the Weir hotel and the cardboard cottages were collected with little presents for the best collectors. We managed a threepenny piece every week even in those hard days!
Did anyone live on or near Eversley Rd in the 70's
