Reading, Friar Street 1924

More about this scene
In 1922 the Post Office built one of its well-designed Neo-Georgian buildings next to the London Guarantee and Accident Company on the left. It is now a Yates Wine Lodge. Across the cobbled street only the building for the then Reading Gas Company survives, central Reading's only World War II bomb having hit the area beyond.
