More about this scene
Here we see one of the many pleasure steamers that used to ply on the river Severn in the Worcester area. The life-saving equipment – probably 10 buoyancy rings – would be considered just a little inadequate today, when one piece of equipment for every passenger carried is the law. Across the water, rowing boats are available for hire.
