To the left, the stone ramparts of Worlebury Iron Age Hillfort can be seen on the very top of the hill. Prince Consort Gardens have yet to be built and a number of terraces lead up to what was then called Flagstaff Hill. On the pier itself, you can see the iron seat brackets shaped liked dolphins and the junction where the pier meets the island.
