Being Born And Living In West Bromwich

A Memory of West Bromwich.

Hello all, Joseph Howorth here. 1971 was a good year as I married my dear wife Linda (nee Grigg), we married in West Bromwich Registry Office on the High Street and next April 17th will be our 40th year together. We have three great children, Angela, Karen, and our son Antony and we have four lovely granddaughters, and in a few weeks Angela is about to give us our first grandson, we are very happy about that.
I would just like to tell you where I was born, number 25, Beale Street over the road from Cronehills School. They were great times. Well, thank for my brief of West Bromwich and I hope they can get it back to something the way it was, but it's progress I suppose. Thank you for your time in reading my memory, hope I have not bored you too much, bye for now.

"Yours in Friendship"
J.J.Howorrth.

Hi, everyone. Does anyone remember the name of a Chinese Restaurant which also had a takeaway facility that was on West Brom High Street in the 1970s & 80s ? It was near to Quances slaughterhouse by the old traffic lights at Hallam Street. The name has been on the toip of my tongue for years and it is very annoying that I can't remember it ! Thank you.
