Warrington, Park Gates And Town Hall c.1955

More about this scene
Can you spot the difference? The Walker fountain was demolished for scrap metal as a patriotic wartime gesture in March 1942. Two identical versions of the fountain still survive in a Glasgow park and Pretoria city zoo in South Africa! The Town Hall gates have since been decorated in their royal colours to celebrate Queen Elizabeth's Silver Jubilee of 1977.
