Two little girls slake their thirst at the drinking fountain in the middle of the crossroads leading on the left to Walton Bridge, and on the right to Hersham, Esher and Cobham. While the bicycle clearly retains its lasting appeal on these newly surfaced roads, the motor car is also beginning to make its presence felt in this community.
