More about this scene
These two motor cruisers were available for hire, and the photographs were probably produced for hire firms to use in their brochures. The 'Enchantress' was a day cruiser with accommodation on the deck (note the basket chairs and canvas deck chairs) as well as in the cabin. The 'Silver Swallow' was a two-cabin luxury cruiser whose moveable canopy gave shelter from sun or rain to the helmsman. Both boats are flying the standard of Robinsons Boatyard.
