More about this scene
A car emerges from Victoria Avenue on to Shore Road (lower right). The Walls ice-cream delivery van (bottom left) is beside beach kiosks and a 1910-built shelter, to which a clock was added in 1953, to commemorate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. Southwards, the far shore extends from the Hotel Grosvenor (centre left) and Royal Victoria Hotel (centre) to the Mowlem Institute (centre right).
