More about this scene
Originally a chantry chapel dating from 1430, the King Edward VI School was founded in 1552, and so is now celebrating its 450th anniversary. The main part of the building, pictured here in the foreground, was built in the 19th century. It is just possible to make out three carved heads under the large window in the centre - in fact there are four heads here altogether, one of which depicts Queen Victoria.
