More about this scene

At the end of the road from Countersett is Stalling Busk, looking out over Semerwater. The village is much higher up from the scene of this photograph, and includes the newer St Matthew's parish church. This isolated ruined church and burial ground was abandoned in the 1920s, but it still retains an otherworldly atmosphere.
