South Pelaw School
A Memory of South Pelaw.
I lived in south pelaw from 1964 until I was married in 1984. We lived in Glencoe Avenue across the road from South Pelaw school which I attended. My first teacher was Mrs Hall and my headmistress was Mrs Young and when she left my headmaster was Mr Laws. I remember my first day in 1969,my mam watched from our garden to see if I was OK. She saw me running out at playtime but I kept running straight out of the gates and home. Mrs Young came over and tried to tempt me back with a walnut whip Lol. I went back but said I would never like school and I never did, nothing to do with the school it was a great school and great teachers,I just never liked school lol.
