More about this scene
Looking beyond Castle Hill, we see the cliffs around Beer in the distance. This open plain of sea front has since been divided by the sea wall and a modern motor road. These buildings were extremely vulnerable to the ferocious gales that would hurl pebbles in their direction. A group of local lads, one with a delivery bicycle, congregate for a chat by the parked van.
