William Evans was my great great grandfather - his daughter was married to my great grandfather Ishmael Roberts. She was disowned by her family for marrying him. She died young and was taken back by the family to be buried in the family vault. Her brother Peter Evans was associated with the Soda Works in Ruthin, but I'm not sure how. Anybody have any information on my third great grandfather and grandmother Thomas Davies born in Llanbedr abt 1832 and Mary Davies born abt 1837 in Upton, Liverpool He was a shoemaker in Well Street, Ruthin. They had a son and a daughter Mary Jane, and Robert Owen Davies. Mary Jane is my second great grandmother. I know Thomas' father was Hugh Davies and Jane Davies from Llanbedr. 1942-1955 - my very happy annual holiday from London with my Nain & Taid (Hannah & John Roberts) at Dystell House in Llanwrog. We used to carry water from the" pistyll" at the top of the field and where Captain their horse grazed.
