Runcorn, Feeding The Animals 1929

More about this scene
This delightful picture reminds us of what was lost with the development of Runcorn. Following the New Towns Act of 1964, 37 farms and 7,500 acres of land were taken over and absorbed as the new town developed. Perhaps this cottage still survives but I am sure there will no longer be calves, pigs and chickens in the yard.
