Rickmansworth, Church Street 1903

More about this scene
By 1903 the tall, angular three-storey buildings on the right have appeared, busy with their oriel windows and buttressed top storeys. The rendered house on the right, with its 16th-century gabled wing, fell into decline and was subsequently demolished. Beeson's, on the left, is still flourishing in 1903 but was rebuit in the 1990s in approximate facsimile as offices named Talbot House, re-using the 'Talbot Road 1863' stone plaque street name.
