More about this scene
The Port Talbot bypass opened in the mid 1960s - for its first 10 years it was the A48(M). Built largely on stilts, and running at roof-top level, the elevated section has always been subject to a 50mph limit. Beulah Methodist chapel had to be removed to make way for the motorway, and was rebuilt in the country park in the Afan Valley.
