More about this scene

We are looking up Lime Street from its junction with Castle Street; Coleridge's Cottage can be seen at the end on the left. The cottage is now National Trust property; part of it was lived in by Samuel Taylor Coleridge between 1796 and 1800, when he wrote his best known poems, including Kubla Khan and The Ancient Mariner.
