More about this scene
Barely 50 years later, the scene is altogether different. Car ownership is no longer confined to the rich, and the mass-produced, 'sit-up-and-beg' vehicles were now a common sight on the road. A cheaper alternative that gave the same independence, if not the comfort, was a motorbike, and, if you had a family, just tag on a sidecar.
