More about this scene
The Monsal Head Hotel is a landmark around these parts. After the railway closed, the National Park bought the track bed in 1980 and created the eight-mile-long Monsal Trail. The railway enters a tunnel immediately after crossing the viaduct, and this is not open Walkers are then routed past the hotel.
