More about this scene

The Collegiate Church built in 1851 was consecrated as the Episcopal Cathedral of Argyll and the Isles in 1876. Famous for the quality of its beaches, Millport developed as a resort following the construction of the harbour and the introduction of a ferry service to and from Largs. As late as the 1940s, there was only one bus, a few motor taxis and some horse-drawn cabs on the island.
