Pavilion View Hotel On Fort Crescent 1956 1958
A Memory of Margate.
Does anyone remember the Pavillion View Guest House on Fort Crescent in the mid to late 1950's. The guesthouse was run by Mr. & Mrs. Walter & Kitty Chart at the time. I would like to make contact with any descendants of Mr & Mrs Chart as I am also trying to see if anyone remembers Violet McKinnell whom I think was living and working at The Pavillion View as a chambermaid at that time. Violet was originally from Belfast. Violet was about 18 year olds at the time and married a U.S. airman (Edwin Reisinger) in January 1958 and emigrated a couple of years later to the USA. I know that Violet sadly passed away a good few years ago. The witnesses on Violet's marriage certificate were Max John Baer and G W Hewitt. I assume Max John Baer was Edwin's witness and that G W Hewitt was Violet's witness. I also know that Violet's father passed away in 1957. Any help would be much appreciated.
