More about this scene
This Moorish building opened in Leicester Square in 1854 as the Royal Panopticon of Science and Art. However, scientific exhibits did not appeal, and the building was re-launched with a circus in 1858 as the Alhambra Palace. The Royal prefix was added after Queen Victoria visited. The building was demolished in 1936, and the site is now occupied by the Odeon.
