More about this scene
The Orange Tea Rooms (we can see the projecting sign) is now a florist, and the slate-hung shop on the right, in this picture Miss Whitford's, selling pots and pans, china, paraffin and other useful items, is now Sylvia's Hairdressers. Like many premises in town, the frontage has changed at street level, but above the slates remain as they always did.
