More about this scene
Until recently, Husthwaite, on the western edge of the Hambleton Hills near Easingwold, was known as the Orchard Village because of its abundance of apple, pear and plum orchards. The village of mellow Victorian and Edwardian houses has not changed much since this photograph was taken.
