Fair Tides Guest House

A Memory of Hope Cove.

My parents owned and ran a guest house... Fair Tides... just up from Mousehole Beach, a stone's throw from the sea.
I lived here until 1965.... not long enough as I wanted to stay here until I died I loved it so much.
The years I spent growing up in and around Hope Cove are a priceless memory which I have carried with me throughout my life. These memories have inspired me and delighted me when nothing else would.

Hi Jill, not sure if your parents still owned it in the seventies, but spent many a happy memory there at Fair Tides, My parents took us there two years as we got on so well with the owners.

I have a pic of the Hotel with my parents car in the car park
Hi there, my grandma liked to tell me about the hotel her auntie built at Hope Cove around the 1930’s, but doesn’t remember much at all. Do you have any info on the owners or history of Fair Tides? I’m trying to check all the possibilities.
Fair Tides was built by a Captain Date in 1903 and was called Canna Villa at that time.
