Hi John, I was interested to read about your memories of living in Hoddesdon, I to lived there from the age of three in Stockfield Avenue, I also went to Hazelwood Junior School which I remember with great memories, I remember there was a fire station opposite so when the fire engine bells rang we were aloud to stand up and look out of window to watch the engine race up the road, you don’t say when you went to Hazelwood, so I’m sure if your name reminds me of you, our teacher was Mr Middleton who rode a motorcycle to school, this was in 1957 until 1960.
I also went to Hoddesdon secondary School in 1960 which I loved that School it had all the elements I enjoyed, sadly my parents wanted to move to Surrey so I had to leave in 1961. If you remember to check into this site and see my story, I will check in on occasion's to see if you have read my reply.
