Burwood Park School

A Memory of Hersham.

Burwood Park School where I stayed for five years as a pupil. I loved the place very much and have fond memories.

I entered Burwood Park Technical School for Deaf Boys in 1961 and at that time the south west Burwood Park estate was virtually covered in dense woods and Tommy Trinder's home was backed to this school.
I was knocked down by a Rover P4 car and I somersaulted twice in the air before landing on Burwood Road near Whitely Village during the Cross Country Run. No broken bones but confined to Sick Bay for a week. I was a boarder for five long years and still have many memories and formed schoolmates for life.
