More about this scene
Now called the Delamere Forest Inn, the pub sits close to what remains of the Delamere Forest. This was a medieval hunting forest, and once extended from Frodsham all the way almost to Nantwich. It was officially disafforested in 1812, when some land was reserved for what is now the Forestry Commission.
