More about this scene
St Peter`s Church was built in 1846, replacing a much earlier place of worship on this site. There are two old yew trees here, and in 2000, to mark the Millennium, numerous cuttings were taken and planted throughout the village. The writer and naturalist Eric Parker lived nearby at Feathercombe, and is buried in the churchyard.
