More about this scene
The Royal Aquarium, to the left, was built in 1875 to house a skating rink and aquarium: it later became a cinema. The Britannia Pier has had a exciting life, having been burnt down at least three times, once by suffragettes. In front of the pier is a 'Noah's Ark' fun ride.
