Grange Over Sands, The Grange Hotel And Tennis Courts 1894

More about this scene
The Grange Hotel was built following the coming of the railway. Its appearance was much the same in a town guide of 1961, when it was advertised as having central heating with fires in all rooms. By 1972 the fires had become electric fires, and the tennis courts had gone; now bungalows occupy their site.
