The Black Bull used to be owned by a Mrs George and was known as The Avenue Tea Rooms I vaguely remember my father Albert (Fred) Sheppard helping painting the Tea Rooms prior to becoming The Black Bull soon after the War. Paul Sheppard
My father bought Gills garage in 1961 from the Berry family and we lived there until 1975 when it was bought by Bobby Howes and my dad retired.I have any very happy memories of living in and have to say I loved every minute.godmanchester was a very close knit community then and everyone knew everyone else. It really is a delight to see photographs from those days.
I lived in Huntington for four years on the oxmoor estate met lots of friends I lived at 61Thongsley if any one remembers me I would love to hear from you I,m know as Babs
Both me and my brother Jeff were born in No.4 'Chadley Lane' and christened in 'St Mary's Church; I was three months old and Jeffrey was eighteen months old. My husband, Terry, went to Queen Elizabeth School. When our parents split up we moved to near by Huntingdon to live with our grandparents and have lived there ever since.
