My Name is William Speirs, in the 1940's we moved from Bellshill Lanarkshire to live in Fishcross, Alloa, Clackmananshire, Scotland. This is a short story about when we were kids in Fishcross from about 1946 till I left in 1959. Does anyone remember a pub called the Railway Tavern that used to be in Primrose Street? I actually thought it was Primrose Lane, but can't see that on the map now. Same street as the public baths used to be, or maybe still are, across from what was the Co-Op. It was attached to a restaurant, on an upper floor, I think called the Imperial. My parents owned it in the late 1970s, early 1980s, for a short while, but I see no mention of it anywhere online. Thanks.
