Bluebell Woods
A Memory of Failsworth.
Remember it well, fell off the rope swing and broke my wrist, didn't half smart but luckily us men are brave little soldiers and I only screamed a couple of times. Gone now though...

I live in Australia now . I have very happy memories of growing up on Alan Avenue [off Lord Lane] in the early 1960s. We used to play football on Brookdale Park. Also, I recall going to Bluebell Woods. We used to lok over Medlock Vale and see the trains going into Manchester. One highlight was riding on the back of my Uncle Ken's scooter to go to Clayton Bridge railway station [since closed] . I used to walk to Stansfield Road school - great, great memories - Andr
