I Lived In 7 Haven Green And Now I Am Searching...

A Memory of Ealing.

I live in Haven Green, 7, but in the year 1965, my Mother and we, movend to Switzerland. Now I am searching for people who knew us.

My father's name was Peter J. W. Benning and my mother was called Margaret or also Sis Benning - Bryan - Lambert (she was Argentinian). Whatever name she exactly used at that time, I do not know unfortunately. I have a brother born in 1956 named Jeremy and a sister born 1963 named Saskia.
I know that I then went into a pre-school, but no idea what it was called.
My mother had a girlfriend, her name was Beba.

If someone remembers us, I would be very happy if you would contact me.

Hello There! I lived in the basement flat of 7 Haven Green from 1979 to 1981, there were 4 flats @ that time, I think Peter Benning lived on either the middle or top floor, other residents were a guy call Niall & Colin who lived in the ground floor flat. Only really knew Colin but saw the others occasionally when they came in & out: the basement had a separate entrance. They were a fairly reclusive bunch who I think had all lived there since maybe the mid-1960s. One thing that was definitely related to Peter Benning was a large old Allard car that was parked in the forecourt at the front: it was in some military livery, looked perhaps as if it had been a staff car....the engine had been taken out so it was really simply an intriguing 'shell' of a car that would have to be towed away.
Hope this is of interest, I live a long way away from Ealing now! Best wishes, Sue.
