White Gables
A Memory of Dymchurch.
I had several really good holidays in Dymchurch in the early 1970's . I stayed with my family at White Gables Guest House , at the time run by a Mr and Mrs Beecroft. It was a beautiful thatched building on The Oval , very near the beach. It had a big garden and I remembering playing in there and drinking coke out of glass bottle with a straw a real holiday treat in those days. There was an old shop in the village which sold toys, buckets and spades and rock , I use to love going there. Does anyone know what happened to the beautiful White Gables? I have been back but its gone. Dymchurch such a great place, so many happy memories.

Such fond memories.
I use to love the sound of the big brass gong for meals. The atmosphere was friendly and cozy.
I am sure we stayed in The Annex.
The games in the garden and the short hop to the beach.
The shop with the double stairs to buy all things seaside !
I am going to Hythe for a Staycation in May 2021 and will go to Dymchurch to regress to an 8 year old
Should be fun & emotional.
Even got a trip booked on the Miniature Train.
