Dunster, The Dovecote And The Priory Church 1919

More about this scene
The dovecote, where pigeons were bred as a ready source of meat throughout the year, is set amidst walled gardens. Behind is the church, which in 1498 was divided in half by a beautifully-carved screen to settle a dispute over its use between the parish and the monks. Today a road splits the gardens between the church and dovecote.
