A Selection of Memories from Dundee

For many years now, we've been inviting visitors to our website to add their own memories to share their experiences of life as it was, prompted by the photographs in our archive. Here are some from Dundee

Sparked a Memory for you?

If this has sparked a memory, why not share it here?

I was a student at Dundee University from 1993 to 1999. I have numerous great memories there. I miss spending my Sunday window shopping in Wellgate, walking to Tesco by the riverside, walking up to the Law, and Saturday night at the Odeon Cinema. In relation to Reform Street and the city square on Friday/Saturday nights. We boys and our latest girlfriends (only if you had a car) used to meet and have a drag race either up Reform Street and back or a race from city square out under the rail bridge and back - obviously when the local bobbies were absent of course! I remember a Ford Anglia with a Lotus engine dropped in it being the main car to beat - easy for a bike, but not on the riverside run - four wheels were better....great fun!

Mind you, Ann Field St wasn't too good back ...see more
I remember travelling from Newport to Dundee (and back) many times on the ferry. I know there were two boats but I can't remember their names. I have a feeling one was THE ALICIA CRAIG ?? but not sure. Can anyone help with the names or photos, or both please.
