Chepstow, Horseshoe Bend 1950

More about this scene
Just up river from the bridge and the castle, this would appear to be a view from Wintour`s Leap of the beginning of the great Horseshoe Bend which encompasses the peninsula of Lancaut. The village of Lancaut can just be seen in the top right-hand corner. The woods on the left continue along the top of Piercefield Cliffs.
