Fancy a thing like this at the bottom of the garden? Each of the thirty cars held thirty passengers, and the ride lasted for about fifteen minutes. Losses were so great that as early as 1901 the Gardens seriously considered dismantling the brute, and were only stopped from doing so because the costs would prove prohibitive.
