More about this scene
The horse is still the only means of propulsion, but changes are afoot. The old house to the left of photograph 49616 has been replaced by a car garage. Prideaux's were coach builders before the days of the horseless carriage. They were already agents for Humber and Rover cars. The gas light in the previous picture has had its lamp removed, replaced by a signpost. The base is unchanged. A small boy plays on the posts.
