More about this scene

The village of Aiskew is now almost merged with Bedale. Looking along Storey Terrace, we see in the distance the tower of Bedale's church of St Gregory. Separating the villages is the old Wensleydale Railway, which ran from Northallerton to Garsdale Head via Leyburn and Hawes. In 2003 it reopened as a working line.
