More about this scene
There was always a flurry of excitement and activity at the Bridge Restaurant and Tea Gardens on Nags Head Island when the pleasure boats arrived, especially during the summer. Salters Steamers once ran a service between Windsor and Oxford, the entire journey taking two days. Today they only ply between Oxford and Abingdon.
