More about this scene
With 2,500 acres of heathland, ancient woodland and wetland, Sutton Park constitutes the finest countryside in the county. While it is of great importance for wildlife, it is also immensely valuable for human recreation. It has been used for that purpose since the time of the Anglo-Saxon kingdom of Mercia, though they went hunting in those days, not angling.
