Sully, The Hospital c.1950

More about this scene
Ideally located to take advantage of the beneficial properties of sea air, the south-facing hospital wards further benefited from the shelter of existing trees. With its highly stylised stair towers and full-length windows, the hospital would eventually be recognised as one of the most outstanding 20th-century buildings in Wales. How sad it is that a Grade II listing could not prevent its pitiful decline and period of disuse.
