Hello does anyone remember myself and my two sisters, Maureen, Joan and Susan Humphreys? We lived at Minster Lodge, Ruff Lane, Ormskirk. 'Ada' was the nickname for the headmistress! In the 1970s... Let me know, please. Regards, Maureen
I was born and bred in Ormskirk and attended St Anns School in Hants Lane. When I was 12, St Bedes School opened and I went there. I remember it being very big compared to St Anns. Mr Collange was the Headmaster, other teachers were Mr Croft, he went on to be Head years later, Miss Beasley, Mr O'Conner - they were both pe teachers - I really enjoyed my stay there. I did go to a reunion for St Bedes about six or seven years ago - met quite a few old faces from my school days.
