More about this scene

At the time of this photograph, Hoskins, a family brewery in Beaumanor Road, Belgrave, in Leicester, owned this, their one public house. Tom Hoskins, a Worcestershire man, founded the concern at the turn of the century and produced the selection that won him the highest awards for a variety of beers. The adjoining ancient cottages have gone, and have been replaced with housing that remains in keeping with the town.

A Selection of Memories from Market Bosworth

For many years now, we've been inviting visitors to our website to add their own memories to share their experiences of life as it was, prompted by the photographs in our archive. Here are some from Market Bosworth

Sparked a Memory for you?

If this has sparked a memory, why not share it here?

This is my ancestral home (unfortunately I wasn't born there) my ancestors, the Dixie family, owned the house and Park.
I was born here on 4th April 1954 (04/0454). I have been looking for an image to add to my family history.
