More about this scene
The Greswolde Hotel, or The Greswolde Arms, as it used to be, became an important coaching inn when the turnpike from Birmingham to Warwick and London opened in the 18th century. It was originally called The Mermaid, but was renamed in the early 19th century after Henry Greswolde Lewis of Malvern Hall, Solihull.
